13/05/2012 - Helping the Heroes
On Sunday the 13th May the Mansfield Group teamed up with National Express to take part in the 5k Heroes Run at Warwick castle.
The run was in Aid of the Warwickshire Northamptonshire Air Ambulance who receive no government or lottery funding and rely entirely on donations and sponsorship from supporters.
The Heroes Run is Warwickshire Northamptonshire Air Ambulance’s very own flagship of fun run series which take place across the counties they cover.
The day was a great success with a good turn out, and the hot weather allowed for a well deserved picnic in the sun following the race.
Congratulations to Nicky Sherratt, Angie Buckley, Jenna Smith, Louise Whitehouse, Naomi Brace, Katie Morris, Jackie Reid and Steve Dale for participating and completing the run to help to raise money for the charity.
