We are recruiting for a Financial Director!

JOB DESCRIPTION

 Department:                 Finance

Job Title:                       Finance Director

Responsible to:           Chief Executive

 

Job Purpose

To ensure the overall effective financial management and reporting for The Mansfield Group and actively contribute towards the financial planning and strategic growth of the business as a key member of the Strategic Management Team.

Delivery – To deliver an excellent service to the customers of The Mansfield Group through financial management of the organisation.

Principal Responsibilities

To ensure accurate and timely preparation of management accounts, the effective operation and development of management systems for all accounting functions.

Performance management of the finance team.

Monitoring cash flow.

To plan and prepare financial management documents, including financial plans, budgets and forecasts.

To manage and oversee the preparation of all statutory returns.

Monthly reviews of budgets and targets. Working with all departments of the business to help them manage their budgets and ensuring they are met and exceeded.  This will involve visiting sites throughout the UK.

Working closely with the CEO to help manage the overall business profitability.

Introduce and manage procurement process.

Strategic planning for the long-term financial goals of the business.

To carry out any other tasks that will, from time to time be allocated by the Chief Executive on an ad hoc or continuing basis, commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post.

 

Experience Required

Significant experience at senior financial controller level within a large customer driven environment.

Significant experience in direct management and control of a minimum £30m turnover operation.

Proven experience in direct management and supervision of a finance team.

Proven experience of budget preparation, setting and monitoring financial forecasting.

Proven experience of preparing and presenting financial and management accounts, reports and data.

Experience of liaising with auditors, business advisers and board members.

Qualified accountant to at least CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Level.

Good working knowledge of current accounting software systems.

Other Requirements

The role will be based at The Mansfield Group HQ in Stoke on Trent and the candidate would be required to live within an hour’s travelling distance.
